About Biz Kid Marketplace & Workshops
The Hayward Chamber, thanks to a grant from Amazon Web Services, is launching the BizKid Marketplace during the Downtown Hayward Street Party on July 17, 2025. We’re also planning a second event for December 6, 2025, at the City of Hayward’s Light up the Season celebration. These community events are held in partnership with the Hayward Area Recreation District and the City of Hayward, attracting an estimated 6,000 to 8,000 attendees.
The BizKid Marketplace serves as an incubator for young entrepreneurs, offering them a platform to showcase their products and services without any vendor fees, thanks to our grant and sponsorship which cover 100% of the costs. We provide shade canopies, tables, table cloths, and chairs; the participants need only bring their merchandise or marketing materials and a supervising adult.
Additionally, we are offering three free educational workshops prior to the Street Party, focusing on foundational business skills to help get your creative ideas into action. The workshops are open to all youth interested in business, regardless of their participation in the marketplace.
